Support That Starts With Understanding

Life is easier when you understand yourself.

Whether you’re navigating diagnosis, burnout, relationships, parenting, advocacy, or workplace challenges, I help Autistic and AuDHD adults, parents, and professionals make sense of their experiences and build lasting self-trust.

My work brings together lived experience, research, advocacy, and coaching to provide practical support that works with your nervous system—not against it.

RESEARCH & POLICY

My work spans participatory autism research, government advisory roles and international advocacy. I collaborate with researchers, organisations and policy makers to improve understanding and outcomes for autistic people and their families.

COACHING & MENTORING

One-to-one coaching and mentoring for Autistic adults, AuDHD adults, parents and professionals. Together we make sense of your experiences, strengthen self-understanding and develop practical strategies that work with your nervous system rather than against it.

SPEAKER & TRAINER

I speak to conferences, organisations, government and community groups about autism, trauma, self-trust, parenting, research and systems change. Every presentation combines practical insights with research and authentic lived experience.

AuDHD WOMAN’S GUIDE

to SELF TRUST:

Dating After Trauma with Discernment, Confidence & Clarity

Monique takes readers inside the private emotional world of an AuDHD woman navigating love after rupture. Through deeply personal chapters about the men she dated—the safe ones, the charismatic ones, the confusing ones—she explores how autism, ADHD, trauma, attachment, and the AuDHD nervous system shape the way relationships are experienced, interpreted, and remembered.

This is not a dating diary. It is a guide to discernment. For Autistic and AuDHD women rebuilding after divorce, trauma, or years of masking, this book offers language for experiences that are rarely understood, validation for what they’ve lived through, and a practical path back to self-trust. It shows how the powerful combination of Autistic pattern recognition, ADHD novelty-seeking, and trauma can make unhealthy relationships feel compelling, while also revealing how those same traits, once understood, become profound strengths for making wiser choices.

Because love should expand you—not destabilise you.

Communicate with Clarity and Confidence

Find the words for what you think, feel, need, and want, so you can express yourself more clearly in conversations, emails, meetings, appointments, and advocacy situations. This includes helping you prepare your message, organise your thoughts, and feel more confident that what you are saying can be heard and understood.

N

Manage Overwhelm, Burnout, and Emotional Load

Use practical NLP-informed strategies to understand what is happening in your body, your thoughts, and your nervous system when things become too much. This can help you reduce overwhelm, recognise early signs of burnout, create recovery space, and build more sustainable ways of coping with daily demands.

N

Rebuild Self-Belief After Being Misunderstood

Strengthen your confidence after years of masking, self-doubt, criticism, invalidation, or being told you were “too much,” “too sensitive,” “too intense,” or “not trying hard enough.” This work is about helping you reconnect with your own voice, trust your instincts, and understand yourself through a more compassionate and accurate lens.

How I support families and individuals

I’m opening up a small and limited number of one-to-one support spaces. I work closely and personally with each person I support, which means I only take on a small number of clients at any one time. It allows the work to be thoughtful, grounded, and genuinely supportive and not rushed or surface level.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, in our work together, I can help you to:

N

Prepare for Difficult Conversations and Important Meetings

Work through what you need to say before a school meeting, medical appointment, workplace discussion, family conversation, NDIS-related process, or advocacy situation. Together, we can clarify your key points, anticipate possible responses, and help you go in feeling more grounded, prepared, and less likely to be thrown off by pressure.

N

Navigate Systems Without Losing Yourself

Develop strategies for dealing with schools, healthcare providers, workplaces, government services, family law, child-related systems, or other environments where you may have felt dismissed, misunderstood, judged, or talked over. The goal is to help you advocate more effectively without feeling you have to over-explain, over-prove, or exhaust yourself to be taken seriously.

N

Create Clear, Practical Next Steps

Leave each session with something useful and manageable to take forward. That might be an email to send, a meeting plan, a script, a boundary, a way to explain your needs, a strategy for reducing overwhelm, or a clearer understanding of what to do next. The focus is not just talking about the problem, but helping you move forward with support, structure, and confidence.

A relaxed, no-obligation conversation to explore your needs and see whether we’re the right fit.
